DJ Workshops

in association with…

Our DJ Workshops have been one of the most rewarding and exciting parts of what we do here at Good Clean Fun. When we first launched them, we hoped to create a welcoming, inspiring space where people who are passionate about music could come together, learn something new, and connect through music – and the response has blown us away.

Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed a small group of people from all walks of life into the space, and the energy has been incredible. Every workshop has been filled with curiosity, passion, and that unmistakable Good Clean Fun buzz. We’ve laughed, we’ve learner, and we’ve watched some serious talent begin to blossom.

At the heart of it all has been connection – real human connection. Music has this amazing way of bringing people together, and our workshops have become a little community of their own. Everyone who’s come along has brought something different, but we’ve all shared that same spark: a love of electronic music and a curiosity to go deeper. New friendships have been formed, tunes have been swapped, ideas have bounced around the room, and it’s been brilliant to see people in the studio together in-between sessions.

Another huge highlight has been the chance to learn from some of the city’s finest. Our workshops are led by local legends – people who live and breathe music, who’ve played and written tunes that have been played across the globe. Everyone has been so generous with their time and encouragement. No egos, just pure passion and enthusiasm.

We structured this first block of workshops for total beginners. There’s been hands-on time with pro equipment, plenty of chances to ask questions, and a strong focus on developing your own unique sound. We’re not here to teach you how to copy someone else – we’re here to help you find your voice.

It’s been amazing to see people grow in confidence, try things out, and start seeing themselves not just as learners, but as musicians in their own right. The progress we’ve seen in those attending has been unreal – some are already writing their own tunes!

We’re in the process of applying for more funding to make these workshops a more regular thing, we really hope to re-open applications soon!
