Good Clean Fun and Electronic Experimentations are excited to announce a new collaboration, with Electronic Experimentations doing a takeover of the first hour of every party, before the meditation.
What is Electronic Experimentations?
Electronic Experimentations (EE) is a monthly residency at The Flying Duck, Glasgow, hosted by Sophia Archontis. It is a platform and a space celebrating alternative performance and experimental electronic music, where performers and artists of all levels are invited to explore an idea, a concept, or a piece on stage. The goal is to create a self and welcoming space for folks to explore experimental ideas they might otherwise not feel as confident to explore, and we’ve often had artists come to perform at EE for their first gig ever, or their first gig back in many years.
What has led to this collaboration between GCF and EE?
Good Clean Fun has always been a community-forward space, creating a safe space for people in recovery or interested in recovery to enjoy music, dancing, and partying. EE is completely aligned with this ethos, wanting to make electronic music and experimental performance accessible to as many people as possible. The goal of demystifying electronic music isn’t simply geared towards audience members, but also towards artists themselves: anyone can be an electronic artist if they want to. So, we wanted to bridge the gap between the two events, exploring a new and slightly experimental element to our GCF dance parties.
Sophia is a frequent collaborator, photographer, and caterer for GCF parties and surrounding events, and is really excited about exploring this new opportunity. We hope you find this new development to our parties as fun as we do, and we look forward to seeing you there as we kick off again after our summer break!
Note: if you are an artist who is interested in getting involved in this new collaboration, and you think the ethos/concept is something which aligns with you, please give Sophia an email at archontis.sophia@gmail.com
